ABOUT CARBON IN CONTEXT
Carbon in Context is a tool that converts greenhouse gas emissions into useful, easily communicated comparisons.
From gigatons of carbon dioxide to pounds of methane, greenhouse gas emissions often appear in articles, reports,
and investor materials without adequate context for how those numbers relate to the overall scale of climate change.
This prevents audiences from fully understanding the impact of a particular solution or problem, creating the perfect environment for greenwashing and misinformation.
Carbon in Context seeks to provide users with the comparisons they need to better communicate and understand climate information.
Carbon in Context is supported by
Project Drawdown, the world’s leading resource for climate solutions, and created in partnership with the
University of San Francisco.
